What do I mean by that? It means when you compare yourself
to others a whole host of other issues can surface.
1.
By comparing yourself to others you’re
taking the attention off of yourself and placing it onto others. Essentially
you’re giving away your power to someone else. They now, unknowingly, are in
control of how you feel about yourself.
2.
Now that you’re given away your power it’s
more difficult to concentrate on and promote your own abilities, to shine.
3.
Your self esteem begins to diminish. You
compared yourself to others and then thought
their life was somehow better. Then you get sad and feel bad about yourself.
There’s no one else to blame for how you feel because you did it to yourself.
The ironic part is that these same people are comparing
themselves to you and are in awe of you and the crazy thing is that over 90% of
these negative feelings are avoidable. It’s up to you. You’re in control of how
you feel.
It’s important to keep the focus on what you can
control, YOU, in order to achieve your goals. When you change your focus you
lose your momentum on becoming who you were born to be. Stay focused.
