Clues From the Universe

Clues From the Universe

Clues - signs you get them all the time. They’re there to let you know which direction you should take. The problem arises when you’re not always hearing or seeing it.

So what are these clues that you keep missing? They’re the initial thoughts that pop into your head telling you do this or don’t do that.  Sometimes you listen and sometimes you don’t.  You can call it your gut instinct, a knowingness or intuition.  Like any instinct such as the fight or flight response it’s there to protect and guide you.  Its only concern is for your well-being, be it emotional, mental, physical or spiritual. It’s the direct line of communication to your life force. How awesome is that!

Now all you have to do is listen to it. It takes practice.  Typically you’ll get an initial thought and bypass it by consciously disregarding the message as being invalid, nonsense or not making sense.

In reality it’s you inner protection gauge and it comes from a place of your personal authentic awareness.  It’s your spiritual side stirring you in a direction that’s best for YOU.  Your challenge is to listen to it and to start heeding its advice.  After all, it’s just you wanting to shine by being your authentic self.

The Key to Your Success

The Key to Your Success

Education? It certainly helps but that’s not it.

Connections? Again it helps but that’s not it.
Money? Nope.

It’s the internal conversation you have with yourself that manifests itself through your thoughts, words and ultimately your actions. It’s the conversation you have with the people around you.  What you think, feel, and believe you can achieve is verbalized constantly. Therefore, if you want to be successful your thoughts, feelings, and language must match that success level as if you’re already there. We create our world with our thoughts and words.

But how do you go about doing that you might ask. You can start by changing your everyday language to become the powerful positive force you wish to become. You may not be aware of it but our language is filled with many negative words which then creates that what we just said we didn’t want.

Our brains are a positive producing organism which means that is doesn’t process negative commands. Your unconscious mind cannot process what is not.  It simply responds to the key words you give it. Children under seven are inclined to respond like the unconscious mind.  Tell a child not to touch something or not to drop something and what do they do, touch it, drop it?

Here are some examples of what I mean and how to change it.
1. Its hard becomes - It’s not easy – It’s easy.
2. I’m broke becomes - I’m not rich – I’m rich.
3. I’m afraid becomes - I have no courage – I have courage
4. I’m sick becomes - I’m not very healthy – I’m very healthy

Here are some more common expressions that should be changed to more high energy positive language.

No problem – Thank you
Problem – Opportunity
Bad/Difficult – Challenge
Trying –Working on
Failure – Learning experience
If – When
Don’t’ /Can’t – Will
Undecided – Choice
Strange / Weird – Unique

Now let’s see if you can catch yourself in time to change your language to more high energy words.

It starts by changing how you think. Eventually with enough practice your actions will start to mimic your language. As a side benefit, you’ll notice that you’ll start to feel happy about life in general. It’s a win – win scenario for your key to success.

Karma Works Like a Boomerang

Your Actions are like a Boomerang

It’s been said many times in different ways but it basically means the same thing.

·         Karma.
·         You reap what you sow
·         What comes around goes around.
·         The Law of Attraction.

It all means the same thing and it bears repeating because people aren’t getting it.  You get back what you give

For example there’s the women who is upset when she’s not respected, chances are she’s not respecting herself because she’d allowing someone to treat her badly. She needs to respect herself enough to do whatever it takes to get address it or get away from that person or situation.

Or, the guy who vents that the world is racist yet doesn’t see that he’s racist against another group. He doesn’t get that if he wants the world to change, it starts with him. He must become what he wants the world to be.

Morgan Freeman gets it, “If you want to stop racism stop talking about it”.
How about the person who is always asking for a hand out but never takes the initiative to help others? Why should anyone care about you when you don’t care enough about yourself to improve your situation?

See a pattern here?

What goes around comes around. It’s the Law of Attraction at work.  You get back what you think about most.  If you believe you’re frequently disrespected than that’s what you’ll see through your lens, disrespect. Your view will be steered to the times you’re disrespected instead of remembering how many times you were respected. The same goes for anything else.

Call it what you will but life has a way of balancing itself out. It may appear that life is unfair but I’ve found that eventually the person or company who treated me badly, cut me off in traffic, discriminated against me etc. gets what they deserve. It may take a few years but they do reap what they sow.

Remember the boomerang is designed to return to you.

Give Money to Receive Money

Give Money to Receive Money

It’s the law but you won’t find it in any book. No. It’s one of the laws of the universe, the law of Giving and Receiving.

Ever notice that there is always an equal but opposite to everything; up/down, back/forth, give /receive.  It’s different aspects of the same energy and absolutely everything has energy even the seemingly stagnate coffee table beside you. Its nature harmonious intelligence in motion, everything seen and unseen constantly flows without us having a conscious awareness about it.
Your mind, body and spirit are in a constant dynamic exchange of energy but stopping that current of circulations is like stopping the flow of blood.  And what happens when blood stops flowing, it begins to clot and becomes sluggish in its movement. Somewhat like our economy right now.  The flow of money is moving very slow and it’s having a hard time getting back into the current. How do we fix that?

First let’s back up a bit and explain a few things. “The word affluence comes from the root word “affluere,” which means “to flow to.”  The word affluence means “to flow in abundance.”  Money is really a symbol of the life energy we exchange and the life energy we use as a result of the service we provide to the universe.  Another word for money is “currency,” which also reflects the flowing nature of energy.  The word currency comes from the Latin word “currere” which means “to run” or to flow.

Therefore, if we stop the circulation of money – if our only intention is to hold onto money and hoard it – since it is life energy, we will stop its circulation back into our lives as well.  In order to keep that energy coming to us, we have to keep the energy circulating.  Like a river, money must keep flowing, otherwise it begins to stagnate, to clog, to suffocate and strangle its very own life force.  Circulation keeps it alive and vital.” (The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success – Deepak Chopra)

Getting back to the Law of Receiving is simple.  In order to receive you have to give. It’s not give and take but a free, loving and joyful type of giving combined with allowing the receiving to come to you.  If you stop the flows of either you interfere with nature’s intelligence.  The more you give the more you will receive.  It will keep the abundance of the universe circulating in your life. And this just isn’t for money but for everything.  If you want joy you give joy. If you desire to be loved than you need to love others, want peace – give peace, want more clients – help others to get clients. You have to give freely and with joy the thing you wish to receive.

Giving isn’t just for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.  You can give freely anytime, anywhere and to anyone.  It’s your choice.  Go for it!

Save the Earth

I’ve always wondered why some very healthy people, by all accounts, will fall ill and never recover while some old crusty guy chain smokes and drinks himself into old age without much effect on him.

It doesn’t seem fair, does it?
I think I found the answer.

Mindset

The crusty old guy doesn’t buy into the effects of his bad habits. He doesn’t give them his attention. Instead he believes everything will be okay and that he’ll be just fine, thank you very much. On the other hand, the healthy person “believes” that cancer can kill and some foods are bad for you. Then when something happens to them they believe it will have the effect they believe it will have by what’s been promoted.

Skeptical, it’s the law of attraction at work? You attract what you think about. It comes down to what you believe. When you’re positive it shows up in all that you do from the way you walk, talk and present yourself. It has to. It’s a reflection of your inner mindset.

Need proof?
Check out the Messages in Water videos by Dr. Emoto.  It highlights the effect positive words and intentions have on water at a cellular level versus negative ones. By simply voicing good thoughts, blessing and praying, the chemistry of the water changes. Freaky! If that can happen to water what effect does that have on the rest of the planet? What percentage of plants, animals and humans are made up of water? I don’t know the exact amount but I know it’s a lot and none of us could survive without it.

Imagine simply by praying, blessing or having good intentions about your food will change the cellular structure so much so that what was once seen as unhealthy will only have a good effect on you.

Someone who was concerned about the effect of fracking on water asked the Light collective, channeled by Kathryn Harwig, if it contaminated the water making it unsafe to drink.  Their response was that all water is good. If you believe it is bad for you it will be, but it is all good.

Lesson – if you want to save the earth perhaps having gratitude for what it provides would be a better option.

Want to Have a Green Thumb?

Have you ever noticed that people who are talented at growing plants talk to them?  I always thought it was just coincidence until I made the connection between Professor Emoto’s Messages in Water and the amount of water in plants.  If you’ve never seen the video go now to view it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAvzsjcBtx8

The message basically states that positive words and music have a profound effect on water crystals by producing beautiful or not so pretty crystals based on the type of words taped to the container or music played nearby.  When you take into account that the earth is 70% water and so are humans then what kind of effect are the language and music you’re listening to having on your body?  What effect does the word “love” tattooed on someone’s body have versus “hate”?  His work indicates that positive language is much more powerful than negative.

It’s no wonder that people who talk to their plants have much better results.  Plants after all are mostly water too.  When a person talks to their plants they’re saying good things like how beautiful it looks.

Yep, I think Professor Emoto’s work confirms what those in the know already know; a positive outlook has more energy behind it and therefore produces better results.  Another way to say it is “You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.” That’s something to think about the next time you want positive results.

Guess all those wanna be gardeners out there better start doing some sweet talking if they want to see the fruits of their labor, me included. Oh and, mind language too.

Commitment – It’s Not Just a Piece of Paper

Commitment – It’s Not Just a Piece of Paper

There is something about vocally making a commitment, putting pen to paper and having witnesses that suddenly solidifies a commitment.  It’s as if it reached into the center of your being and makes you react with a sense of this is really important. Remember it. Don’t renege.

To the witnesses it gives the contract credibility but still there’s the physical words and signage that really gives it credence.  It not only brings it to the forefront of your conscious but gets embedded at the cellular level.

Commitment changes relationships. Your friends, neighbors, co-workers and even your in-laws come and go. Sure you may be uncomfortable with the change in the relationship but there was no commitment to fall back on.  They never indicated that they were going to be your friend forever. Besides, did you really lose a friend or did one of you decide to move on in order to grow? If that’s the case then that’s just a part of life.

How many times have you known or heard about a couple who have lived quite well together for several years only to get married and shortly thereafter get divorced? What changed the relationship, the commitment? It took on a new meaning, more importance.  A commitment has been made not only to another person but to yourself to uphold. Can you do it?

For some reason people think they’re getting married to appease religious beliefs, society or government.  Not true. Even in the Catholic religion, out of the seven sacraments, marriage is the only sacrament that is given from one person to another, the church only overseas it as a witness from God.  Therefore the commitment is between the man, women and God.  It’s really a private matter. If it’s not upheld you are breaking a promise not only to the other person but to yourself and sometimes those are the hardest to face, breaking a promise and thereby letting yourself down.

There are a few people who claim they won’t marry because it’s just a piece of paper, REALLY? The number one reason a person would say this is out of FEAR; fear of failure. If you don’t make a committed statement then you can’t fail.  Sure the person might go on and one about freedom from outside influences but really it comes down to fear.  It’s interesting to note that people have no problem signing contracts and commitments to do a job, make payments or such but to make a commitment to another person propels it to a whole new level. Suddenly excuses come up.

The Grass isn’t Greener on the Other Side

The Grass isn’t Greener on the Other Side

It only appears to be greener.  Your grass is already lush and full of vibrant color. You’re just not seeing it. What it really comes down to is perception and the underlying cause of that is comparison.

When you start comparing yourself to others your mind can play some real nifty tricks on you.  It puts thoughts in your head about other people’s material possessions, education and career choices compared to you.  Soon little things that you probably never gave much thought to start to creep into your mind and it becomes almost like a disease.  With each comparison your emotions begin to rise with feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness where it didn’t exist before, all because you compared yourself to someone else.

The sad part is you did it to yourself.  Comparing yourself to others is like comparing different varieties of apples.  You can eat all of them but some are better for different reasons.  There are apples that are better for pies, baking and canning while others are straight up good to eat fresh.  But even within that category people have different tastes. Red Delicious apples are good to eat fresh as well as Fuju but the Fuju variety is a bit sweeter.  It’s all a matter of taste.

You are like a variety of apple.  You have your own unique flavor that people like for varying reason and they like you just the way you are.  Even though there are other people out there with some of the same skill sets, you bring your own unique flavor to the mix. Try to remember that next time you find yourself comparing yourself to someone else. Besides, if everyone were the same then some people aren’t needed. You’re an original, stay that way.

You were born an original. Don’t die a copy” ~ John Mason

Making the Shift from Smart to Wise

Making the Shift from Smart to Wise

At what point does one become wise? The truth is there really isn’t any one significant event or time when someone is considered wise.  It’s an accumulation of events, experiences, sadness and joy that ultimately earns the recipient the term wise.

Tis not knowing much, but what is useful, that makes a wise person”.  ~ Thomas Fuller, MD

A wise person hears one word and understands two”.  ~ Yiddish Proverb

Oh and one thing you’ll notice about people you consider to be wise, they exude humility.  It’s as if through all their experiences they’ve learned where they fit in the world and are grateful for all they’ve experienced.

Here are some people who didn’t slow down as they were getting older but continued to pursue their ambitions well into their 60’s.

60 – Dr Hattie Alexander discovers the cure for bacterial meningitis.

61 – Sharpshooter Annie Oakley nails 98 of100 clay pigeons in an exhibition at a North Carolina gun club.

62 – Louis Pasteur inoculates his first patient against rabies.

63 – Eugenicist Francis Galton demonstrates that each person’s fingerprints are unique.  Criminals worldwide mourn.

64 – Betty Ford, wife of President Gerald R. Ford, opens her eponymously named clinic to treat substance abuse.

65 – Colonel Harland Sanders begins nationwide licensing for his special fried chicken recipe, which will come to be known as Kentucky Fried Chicken.

66 – Michelangelo completes his Last Judgment fresco in the Sistine Chapel.

67 – Engineer Joseph Baermann Strauss celebrates as his masterwork, the Golden Gate Bridge, is opened to traffic.

68 – Lillian Cater, mother of President Jimmy Carter, joins the Peace Corps and works for two years as a nurse in India.

69 – Mary Kaplan realizes her goal of running a marathon in every U.S. state – and finishing first in her age group in each race.

It proves age is but a number.  You have as much life left in you as what you put into it.

Middle Age – I Think Not

The fifties are more like coming into your own and hitting your stride.  By this time in your life wisdom takes over where knowledge and experience left off.  All the choices you’ve made have come to fruitation or starting to emerge.  It’s a grand time because if you don’t have the “I don’t care what anybody thinks” attitude already, you sure have it now.

Reasons that held you back in the previous years now vanish and you come into your own. Your true colors emerge.  But why wait until you’re in your fifties when you can work on that attitude change right now.

Take a look at the unique people who’ve made their mark at “middle age.”

50 – Charles Darwin publishes his pioneering work, On the Origin of Species.

51 – Sandra Day O’Connor becomes the first woman justice to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.

52 – Tchaikovsy composes a ballet suite called The Nutcracker.

      -   Ray Kroc, a milkshake machine salesman, starts a fast-food chain called McDonalds

      -   Leonardo da Vinci completes the Mona Lisa.

53 – Margaret Thatcher is elected as Great Britain’s first female Prime Minister.

      -  Walt Disney opens a theme park he calls Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

      -  Ernest Hemingway writes The Old Man and the Sea.

54 – Henry Heimlich makes public a choking-prevention maneuver that will eventually be named after him.

55 - Author Alex Haley publishes his epic masterwork, Roots.

56 – Gustave Eiffel completes the design for the Paris tower that will bear his name.

57 – George Washington is inaugurated as the first President of the United States, receiving all 69 electoral votes. He will stand as the only President unanimously elected.

      -  Annie Peck becomes the first person to reach the summit of Mount Huascaran in the Andes.

58 – W. H. Hoover develops an electric suction sweeper that is soon dubbed a vacuum cleaner.

59 – Clara Barton founds the American Red Cross

    - Madeleine Albright becomes the first women Secretary of State for the United States.

This just a reminder that it’s not over till it’s over.  Make the best use of the time you have here because when you hit 50 you may only be half way there.

Real Men Wear Pink

Real Men Wear Pink

Why do some men look good in pink, or for that matter any pastel color, contrast?

Typically the more masculine the guy the greater chance he looks better in soft colors. I know some men don’t like to wear soft colors because they think it makes them look wimpy. That’s a personal viewpoint. However we’re going for contrast here, therefore soft colors on a dark hair and skin make the person stand out more. The opposite would be true for guys with lighter hair and skin. It’s the contrast between the man’s features and the color that make him stand out. The color accents the person and balances out the masculine energy.

The opposite would be true for a woman. A very feminine women looks good in masculine attire, it balances out the female/male energy, while some women in masculine attire can’t pull it off.

It’s the Ying and Yang principle. Balance the energy. I think that’s one of the reasons men and women are attracted to each other. Ever notice that when one of them is strong in something the other one is not? As partners, they’re balancing the energy between the two of them.

It doesn’t just show up in relationships but also work. A boss will hire the person who best fits the need. In other words, the area that needs filling will balance out the business so that it functions more efficiently.

Contrast helps balance the energy. It’s saying that as spiritual beings we’re always trying to balance the energy around us. It could show up in the people we’re with, our environment, work, or even the kind of clothes we choose to wear.  We aren’t consciously aware of where our spirit is at but it’s instinctively trying to put our being and environment into alignment. However, sometimes our conscious mind tries to fight it by saying it doesn’t want to do that. That’s another story.

Ying and Yang, Karma, call it what you will but your spirit is always working at achieving balance whether you’re aware of it or not.

Therefore, perhaps the struggles and challenges you’ve had in your life are just your spirit trying to balance itself out.

All is One

All is one. What could that possibly mean?

From a quantum physics point of view it is. We are all one and the same from the tress to the tiger to the crunch of sand beneath our feet; once you break it down we all come out to be the same thing – light.

And what is light but energy. Everything around us is made up of energy. Of course to the naked eye it doesn’t appear that cement or a wooden chair has energy but it does. Under a microscope there is movement but it’s very slow. Even a dead plant has energy otherwise it wouldn’t decompose. It dies, crumbles and melts into the earth. The energy never dies it becomes something else. In this case the decomposition of the plant has provided food to other living organisms and the process just keeps repeating. It never stops. The human body is the same. Beyond the molecular the common and final ingredient in all life forms in the universe is light. This means at its core everything is the energy of light. Some light shines brighter than others because of the frequency it holds, nonetheless it’s all light. We are all one and the same when we’re broken down to our minute core element.

The question then becomes what is light? I’m not referring to the bright light of the sun but the kind of light feel good light that illuminates acceptance and unconditional love.  It’s a warm shining light that emits goodness. It’s the light, thus energy, of our Creator and we are all bit of the Creator.

We all have this light within us. Every living thing within the universe has this light, this bit of light reminiscent of the Creator because it is of the Creator.

In the big picture that means we are all One. We (universe) are all One with the Creator. How cool is that?

Now here’s another thought to think about. If everything in the universe is made from the Creator it only stands to reason that we all posses the ability to communicate with each other in some form. But how to we communicate from a light level? Universal consciousness perhaps!

Remember to Enjoy the Ride

Remember to Enjoy the Ride

I remember watching the movie, Father of the Bride, in which, Steve Martin, who played the father was in a tizzy because his child’s play was falling apart in front of the audience’s eyes. The children forgot or said the wrong line, they were in the wrong spot and the set was falling down. He couldn’t handle the chaos.

On the other hand his wife sitting next to him was smiling and laughing along with all the other parents. They were enjoying the children being who they were - kids, kids who make mistakes and do silly things.

What a difference in perception! One person is visibly upset while the other is having the time of her life. A lot of things are like that. How we react to them is a matter of our own perception.

As a parent I can get very frustrated, stressed out and exhausted from raising a child but at the same time I wouldn’t change a thing.  There are just too many positives from watching her grow up, the funny questions and remarks make me laugh. Actually just watching her be herself makes me smile inside. Her ups and downs have brought excited jumping to crying on my shoulder.  It’s been a rollercoaster ride of emotions. And let’s not forget the heart-felt hugs that have melted my heart. It’s been quite a ride so far. I hope I can hold on although I do have a fondness for roller coasters. I think this has been the best and longest ride yet.

I’m enjoying the ride.

How about you? Do you have ups and downs in your life too? Sure you do.  The thing to remember is that you always get through them, don’t you? Each one has given you a new experience to put under your belt. A slap on the back is in order because you made it. It’s taught you something and hopefully made you wiser.

What I find interesting is that most people who’ve been through a lot of what I’d call down times say they wouldn’t change a thing about their past because it’s made them who they are today. They wouldn’t have met the people they did or learned a lesson from the experiences they had if it had been different.

What message does that send? To me it tells us to enjoy the ride.

Weeeee……..

Strive for Self-Awareness

A message from Intuitive Specialist Joan Marie Whelan

Self-realization is vital for one's awareness and acceptance of self in all stage of one's life. It is part of our spiritual journey but it also benefits us greatly in our physical, emotional and mental paths as well. It is through our individual passage through time that we have the opportunity and the responsibility to become enlightened about the process and our progress during this passage.

When we are more aware of what truly makes us do what we do and live the way we live, we are also better prepared to live with an improved degree of compassion, kindness and appreciation for each step along the way.

PRACTICE self-awareness so that you can experience self-realization. Our primary goal is to live each day with a greater understanding of our experiences and why we are encountering them. This is your time to view your life's story and become the person that you desire to be, not someone that has been led by another.

Why Should I Care if you don’t?

Why Should I Care if you don’t?

That’s the premise around people who are around people looking for respect.

I’ve heard women say about guys that he doesn’t respect her. I’ve heard people say that they’ve been disrespected. Where does that come from? To be sure, there are people who haven’t learned to be respectful as well as those that are disrespectful on purpose, but these are small numbers compared to general disrespect that occurs on daily basis in and outside the home. It goes back to the sayings; you reap what you sow and what comes around goes around.

First you have to respect others if you want them to respect you. More important, you have to respect yourself.  It’s a fundamental requirement for you to respect others. If you don’t respect yourself it’s difficult to give the same courtesy to someone else.

Therefore getting back to why should I care, when you care about yourself it shows and people will respond in kind. It’s a demand you expect from others and a confidence you exude that basically states this is who I am and these are my ground rules if you wish to be with me. It’s saying I respect myself and therefore won’t compromise my values and morals. I won’t let you treat me in any way that is detrimental to my self-esteem. If you can’t do that then you will not be a part of my life. I value and love myself to much to be around someone who won’t treat me as such.

When you care about yourself, and I mean that in many ways, it shows. Without even saying word people can tell those who care about themselves from those that don’t and are given respect automatically.

Respect yourself enough to care about yourself.

Everybody Makes Mistakes

EVERYBODY makes mistakes. EVERYONE has those days.

It’s what you do afterwards that separates the winners from the losers, the “haves” from the “has beens”.

It comes down to choices. You can choose to dwell in the negative aspect of the issue or make a choice to learn from it and move on

Quite a few people without even being conscious of it, continue to dwell on the mistakes they’ve made like continuously bringing up a failed relationship, job or what could have been. They’re living in the past. By bringing up the details and hence the feelings that accompanied the situation, the person is basically reliving it. Well, you can’t improve your future if you’re always living in the past. It’s best to learn from the mistake, let it go and move on.

Everyone makes mistakes and this one is yours. Own up to it. The hardest part is accepting the mistake and being able to consciously and unconsciously acknowledge it. “Boy did I screw up”. When you can accept it within that framework you’re half way there. The next part is to figure out what went wrong and vow not to get sucked into that kind of mistake again.

You see you’ll keep making these kinds of mistakes until you learn the lesson, over and over again. It’s like the guy who complains that his wife or girlfriend is a drama queen so he breaks it off only to get another woman who is also a drama queen, same brand - different model. Everyone else can see the similarities in the women even though he swears this new gal is different. He needs to find a different brand.

Finally, you’re not alone. As perfect as everyone else may appear to be, everyone makes mistakes. Some people just know how to brush it off and keep move on.

Are you Accepting or Tolerant?

Are you Accepting or Tolerant?

Some people would believe that they’re one and the same but they’re not.

There’s so much talk now about being tolerant but really the people who are advocating for tolerance actually want acceptance.

What’s the difference?

Tolerance is coming from the mindset that you will put up with a viewpoint, position and/or way of life that you really don’t care for or agree with while acceptance comes from love.

Acceptance is separating the viewpoint, position or way of life from the person. It loves the person despite the difference or disagreement you have about the person’s viewpoint, position and/or way of life.

The difference is HUGE in its concept and use.

The word tolerant in itself whispers of resistance. It assumes that a person’s viewpoint is wrong and therefore it must be corrected by forcing a person to be tolerant of an opposing viewpoint.  When a person is shamed into being tolerant there’s an internal compass that still remains telling the person this is wrong and hence resentment is born. The person is forced into doing and being something they’re not. In reality NOTHING really has changed.

Acceptance is different in that it advocates for people respecting other people’s choices even if they don’t agree with them. In an acceptance environment it would be perfectly acceptable to disagree with the viewpoint, position and/or way of life, not in a mean or put down kind of way, but matter of fact. I’m me and you’re you. It’s okay that we disagree. I don’t have to like or agree with your viewpoint. You go along with your business and I’ll go along with mine. I’ll respect your viewpoint, position, or way of life if you respect mine.

The world would be a much better place if people practiced acceptance versus advocating for tolerance.

Tune Out the Media Hype

Tune Out the Media Hype

They promote fear.  Take your pick they pretty much go by the flavor of the month.  Today its terrorists, tomorrow it’s the budget, and the next its immigration.  That’s not to say that all news is promoting fear.  I do want to know what’s happening with the budget and what the weather will be like.  However, there comes a point when a shift is made between reporting and speculating by bringing up all the possible scenarios on how it could possibly play out in a negative way. And that is the key, could.  It doesn’t mean that it will, it just means it could happen. And then you know what happens, people start talking about it in a negative way and the facts start to get fuzzy.  What is the truth and what is speculating?  As the character in the show Dragnet would say, “Just the facts.”

To get the Law of Attraction to work, you don’t want to give attention to the negative, only the positive but that’s not what is stressed in the media. Instead of focusing on all the money that will be made, the jobs that will be created and the prosperity that will follow, the focus in on debt, bad economy and high unemployment .  Then what do we get, more debt, more lack in economic growth and increased unemployment.

Great leaders know what to do and say to bring everyone’s attention to what we want, the positive not the negative. Great leaders keep the vision at the forefront of our consciousness and not necessarily on the details.

Where attention goes energy flows.  Think prosperity, visualize success, feel the rush.

Garbage in Garbage out

Garbage in  Garbage out

That’s the way the Law of Attraction works in modern terms.  For every action there is a reaction. When you decide ahead of time what reaction you want the action to take reveals itself.

For example, if you borrow money to spread more love around, you’ve made a sound investment and love is reciprocated; if you borrow money to get out of trouble, trouble starts to expand because the attention is on the trouble.

Which would you rather have, more love or more money? Money is just energy and the energy that you attach to it is what you’ll get in return.  The laws of physics are very clear on this.  Action/reaction runs the universe whether it’s evidenced in a family, government, a classroom or a group as small as five people.  The universe reciprocates what it receives, value for value.

In the work environment you’re expected to give a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay.  And yet you will hear about or see employees who are constantly trying to get out of working but still expect a full day’s pay.  In fact, they work harder at not working than actually doing the job.  The irony is that these same people end up being the main complainers about their work and wonder why they can’t get a raise or promotion.   Physics works perfectly. The value of what they gave is what they got in return.  In this case the employee is stuck in his own self pity and therefore he believes the problem lies outside himself.  He hasn’t learned that he has the power to improve his situation through his own mindset. If he made the mental attitude shift to see the value in his contribution he would receive the value back. He would start to get those raises and promotions.  It’s fairly common that the vast majority of employees that get promoted often have already been doing some or the entire job before they got the promotion.

This quote sums it up pretty well.

“Action/reaction is a little like bad mitten.  It isn’t the speed with which you swat that wins the game.  It’s the finesse with which you deliver the shot” ~ Betsy Otter Thompson, Walking Through Illusion.

If you’d like to discover ways in which the Law of Attraction shows up in the bible, I suggest you check out Betsy’s book.  You can find it on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
