Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

Appreciate yourself. The next time someone pays you a compliment, don't shrug it off or put yourself down. When we push away acknowledgement of our divine selves, we can't amplify the good that is trying to move through our lives. We can be humble and still accept praise. Accept that others are seeing the God within you. Take pleasure that others recognize your true identity. And give the gift of a compliment to someone else. -Mary Mannin Morrissey

We all have gifts that we don't recognize because they are so embodied in ourselves that we think of them as easy and therefore not worth mentioning. If fact, other people see it as a gift that they don't have and therefore they appreciate it. When someone gives you a compliment, a simple "Thank You" will do. However, take a moment to think about that compliment and what it really meant to the sender. I think you will discover something about yourself that will put a smile on your face and who couldn't use that?

Free will is your natural way of being. You naturally have the freedom to choose and that’s why freedom is so important. It’s the human races true essence. It’s right up there with love.

That’s why there’s such a struggle going on in the world today. Actually it’s always been there it just changes how it looks. There are those who want to retain or gain their freedom while some believe they need to “take care of” others, that they know what’s best for you and with that come the loss of freedom.

No wonder there’s such a push back on it. For example if a person chooses to donate money to Cause they feel strongly about that’s free will in motion. However, if the government dictates your money should go to a Cause you oppose then you no longer are practicing free will because it’s not your choice.  When you’re coming from a place of freedom to choose it just feels right.

There is a price for freedom. It could be your rights, your privacy or even death.

The good news is in the end freedom always wins. It has to. It has a higher energy vibration than it’s opposite.

You never really know what you want until it’s gone and the world keeps giving us examples of what we don’t want so we can decide what we do want. That is why knowing the truth is so important. If the facts are fabricated or incomplete it’s difficult to make a wise decision or to learn from mistakes.

When we know the truth we can execute our free will and decide for ourselves.

Save the Earth

I’ve always wondered why some very healthy people, by all accounts, will fall ill and never recover while some old crusty guy chain smokes and drinks himself into old age without much effect on him.

It doesn’t seem fair, does it?

I think I found the answer.

Mindset

The crusty old guy doesn’t buy into the effects of his bad habits. He doesn’t give them his attention. Instead he believes everything will be okay and that he’ll be just fine, thank you very much. On the other hand, the healthy person “believes” that cancer can kill and some foods are bad for you. Then when something happens to them they believe it will have the effect they believe it will have by what’s been promoted.

Skeptical, it’s the law of attraction at work? You attract what you think about. It comes down to what you believe. When you’re positive it shows up in all that you do from the way you walk, talk and present yourself. It has to. It’s a reflection of your inner mindset.

Need proof?

Check out the Messages in Water videos by Dr. Emoto.  It highlights the effect positive words and intentions have on water at a cellular level versus negative ones. By simply voicing good thoughts, blessing and praying, the chemistry of the water changes. Freaky! If that can happen to water what effect does that have on the rest of the planet? What percentage of plants, animals and humans are made up of water? I don’t know the exact amount but I know it’s a lot and none of us could survive without it.

Imagine simply by praying, blessing or having good intentions about your food will change the cellular structure so much so that what was once seen as unhealthy will only have a good effect on you.

Someone who was concerned about the effect of fracking on water asked the Light collective, channeled by Kathryn Harwig, if it contaminated the water making it unsafe to drink.  Their response was that all water is good. If you believe it is bad for you it will be, but it is all good.

Lesson – if you want to save the earth perhaps having gratitude for what it provides would be a better option.

Rock On!

That’s the way I feel anyway. You know the saying about how the spirit is wiling but the body isn’t, that’s me.  The spirit is still going strong but the nuts and bolts about making it happen tends to lose energy from time to time.

So, I put on some high energy music on to get me pumped up again.  Eventually it works and before long I’m ready to take on the world. Think Rocky with his arms raised up in the air at the top of the steps.

Sometimes we all get in a funk. What motivates you? I find music is a real good mood regulator. It can take me from a ho-hum attitude to singing at the top of my lungs in just a few songs.

What boosts your morale? Is it music, nature, physical activity or being around enjoyable people?

When you’re in a slump, do what brings you out of it.

(Brought to you by your inner happy place)

No Regrets

What do you want to be remembered for when you die? It’s quite telling when you listen to your answer.

There are books on this very subject and what really stands out is it’s not what people are usually spending the most energy doing. They may spend most of their time and energy on their career but in the end they wished they had laughed more, spent more time with loved ones, been the best dad in the world or basically took the time to enjoy life by living in the present moment.

It is utterly amazing when you see how much energy people but into the things that in the end won’t give them the joy they truly seek. To offset this and leave this world knowing you’ve lived your life to the fullest, do what I do, ask yourself if someday you’ll regret not being there for your parent or child, not going on that cruise you’ve always wanted to go on, not taking that hot air balloon ride. Fill in the blanks to suit your own life, if you won’t regret it than it’s not all that important to you. If you will, get cracking and put the wheels in motion to make it happen.

Go out with a smile on your face knowing you’ve lived your life to the fullest with no regrets.
